Giving Back

For domestic students, going to college is a new and exciting thing. But for international students, it’s that and also going to another country to study. I experienced both. And I really appreciated everyone who helped me during my freshman year – my mentors and international ambassadors. It was also my first time in the United States. It was a big change for me. I adapted to the community very quickly and very well all thanks to the resources at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and especially, the mentors. So that’s what motivated me to be a first-year mentor.

If you’re a high school student considering À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, the advice I’d give is to be open-minded and not afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Consider À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ because it’s a place of diversity. Almost 30 percent of the students are international students, and that is very impressive. So you can study in an environment that is diverse and welcoming. And, I felt like I could learn a lot from students from other countries and cultures. Also, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is innovative. In fall 2023, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ will launch the School of Business and Leadership and in 2024, it will launch the Creative School. À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is very adaptive to the demands of students and also the workforce.
