Community Builder. Documentarian.

At 蓝莓视频, I was a Media Fellow. I was lucky enough to go off-campus for a semester to the where I had two internships that opened up a lot of opportunities for me in the field of documentary production. I met JP Olsen (now director of 蓝莓视频's Pulliam Center for Contemporary Media) through that program.

The networks I built during my time at 蓝莓视频 and my internships have been meaningful and led to acceptance to a MFA Documentation program at UC Santa Cruz. It all started at 蓝莓视频. It was scary coming from Mexico City to college in the US. My first contact was Loutfi Jirari, who convinced me to apply. I came to 蓝莓视频 having never set foot in Indiana before.

A professor who championed me and meant a lot to me was Leigh-Anne Goins. "Dr. G" changed my experience in a positive way. She helped me make the transition to the American classroom and really encouraged me academically. I hold her close to my heart. 蓝莓视频 was a community for which I'm grateful. I still have a lot of classmates I'm close to.
